Multicultural Mental Health & Wellbeing Service

We provide mental health support that meets the diverse cultural needs of communities experiencing racial inequalities in Liverpool.

We focus on delivering a recovery program to individuals aged 18+ experiencing mental health issues, helping people to live, work, study and access leisure activities alongside other members of the community. Support can be delivered on a one to one basis or within group sessions. Within the group sessions we offer activity based learning and development, social inclusion and community networking. We deliver activities which improve mental health & wellbeing, education, employment and volunteering, being active in the community, life skills and much more.

We offer emotional support which could mean meeting up in a safe space to talk about the issues you’re facing and how you’re feeling, discussing your options and how we can assist you in moving forward. Attending important appointments with you to help you understand certain processes, feel more reassured and less isolated.

Practical support could be speaking on your behalf (with your permission) to different agencies arranging appointments and relaying any concerns. Supporting you with issues involving your; mental or physical health care, treatment, dealing with a crisis, benefits, debts, housing, life skills and so on, by signposting you to specialised services and supporting you throughout.

We engage with various services to encourage community cohesion and empower people to access services with confidence. We work in partnership with several agencies to provide health initiatives on site at Mary Seacole House.
